神戸女学院大学作曲卒業。大阪音楽大学大学院作曲修了。東京芸術大学大学院作曲修了。エリザベト音楽大学大学院博士課程音楽学修了。Ph.D.。神戸女学院大学音楽学部賞「クラブ・ファンタジー賞」，吹田音楽コンクール作曲部門第1位，大阪音楽大学コンクール奨励賞，エリザベト音楽大学学長表彰他受賞，国際ピアノデュオコンクール作曲部門，現音新人賞他入選。作曲を鈴木英明，野田暉行，電子音楽を植野正敏，南弘明，音楽学を故ホアキン・M．ベニテズ，ピアノを田原婦美子，奥村智美の各氏に師事。フェリス女学院大学，エリザベト音楽大学各非常勤講師（作曲，音楽理論，DTM）を経て，東京かつしか作曲コンクール企画委員会会長・審査委員長（‘09～’19年）を務め，作曲の教育・普及に注力。現在，植野音楽芸術・電子技術研究所所長を務め、IEEE（米国電気学会）やISPS（国際表現科学シンポジウム）などの国際学会にて査読受理され研究発表（腱鞘炎・筋肉疲労予防のピアノ打鍵フォーム研究）を行うと共に，植野音楽塾塾長として後進の指導にあたる。日本現代音楽協会，日本作曲家協議会，日本音響学会，IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society他会員。
BIOGRAPHY
Hiromi Ueno received the B.Mus. degree from Kobe College (KC), the M.Mus. degree from Osaka College of Music (OCM), and the M.Mus. degree from Tokyo University of The Arts, all in composition, and the Ph.D. degree from Elisabeth University of Music (EUM) in musicology. She taught composition, music theory, and DTM as an adjunct professor in the Ferris University and in the EUM. She organized and served as the judging committee chair and the president of the Tokyo Katsushika Composition Competition. She is now the principal of Ueno Music School and the president of Ueno Music Arts and Electronic Technology Laboratory. Her research interests include preventing muscle fatigue by piano stroke form. She presents at domestic and international conferences (IEEE, ISPS, etc.).
Dr. Ueno won the KC Music Department Award, the first prize in the Suita Music Competition, the Encouragement Prize in OCM, the President’s Award in EUM, and selected as a finalist in the composition of the International Piano Duo Competition, a finalist of the New Face Award of the Japan Society for Contemporary Music (JSCM) . She is a member of JSCM, the Japan Federation of Composers Inc., the Acoustical Society of Japan, the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society.
