東京藝術大学音楽学部作曲科を首席で卒業後、同大学大学院音楽研究科作曲専攻修士課程を修了。1990年第12回日本交響楽振興財団作曲賞入選。1991年第１回芥川作曲賞ファイナリスト。1992年NHK第61回日本音楽コンクール作曲部門（オーケストラ作品）第３位入賞（１位なし）。1998年第20回日本交響楽振興財団作曲賞入選。現在、洗足学園音楽大学・大学院教授、日本現代音楽協会理事、川崎市文化芸術振興会議委員。
BIOGRAPHY
After graduating from the Department of Composition, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, he completed the master’s program in the Department of Composition, Graduate School of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. In 1990 he was selected for the 12th Japan Symphony Promotion Foundation Composition Award. 1991 1st Akutagawa Composition Award Finalist. In 1992, he won the 3rd prize (no 1st place) in the composition section (orchestra work) of the 61st NHK Music Competition. 1998 Selected for the 20th Japan Symphony Promotion Foundation Composition Award. Currently, he is a professor at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, a director of the Japan Contemporary Music Association, and a member of the Kawasaki City Cultural Arts Promotion Council.
