愛知県立芸術大学、及び大学院修了。作曲・演奏活動の他にパフォーマンスやコンサートのプロデュースもする。1991年には、台湾で開かれたアジア女性作曲家フォーラムに参加。1993年春には、アメリカ政府の招待により1ケ月アメリカに滞在し、各地の作曲家や演奏家と交流を図る。ACLアジア音楽祭では1994年(台北)、99年(インドネシア)、2000年(横浜)で作品が演奏されている。他に、テレビ、ラジオ、人形劇、演劇、ダンスの音楽を担当。
1992年度名古屋市芸術奨励賞受賞。2009年度名古屋音楽ペンクラブ賞受賞。2014年フォンテックよりCD「くりもとようこ自作自演集｣をリリース。現在、日本現代音楽協会、日本作曲家協議会各会員。主要作品として、「発声と様式のモードー新しいオペラへの試み｣、名古屋フィルハーモニー交響楽団より委嘱された「弦楽器・打楽器・ビアノと和太鼓のための「天・無・極｣｣などがある。
BIOGRAPHY
KURIMOTO Yoko, composer, pianist, and performer, was graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music and finished her master studies at the same university. In 1991, she attended the Asian Women Composer Forum in Taiwan. In the spring of 1993, she was invited by the United States Government for a month.Her works are performed in ACL Festival in 1994(Taipei), in 1999(Indonesia), and in 2000(Yokoham).KURIMOTO received the Art Encouragement Prize by Nagoya City in 1992, and Nagoya Music Pen Club Prize in 2009. She is a member of the Japan Society for Contemporary Music and the Japan Federation of Composers. She has released a CD “Yoko KURIMOTO plays Yoko KURIMOTO” by fontec in 2014.
